Shield Wall System

The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and best smooth running at low weight. This is made possible by an additional puncture protection layer running all around, which consists of a fine cross weave. This gives the tire a high resistance to punctures. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and has high flexibility to adapt perfectly to the surface. The revolutionary Tubeless Ready foot allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tire.

PureGrip rubber compound

Based on the activated silica compound was purposefully worked towards a compound technology in the performance segment. After intensive development efforts, the result of this research and development department produced a new compound technology with excellent grip and long-lasting properties. The rubber compound with the self-explanatory name "PureGrip" ranks behind the BlackChili compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage of Continental tires.


Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
